Found something called "Phantoms" in a 2 dollar bin.
Horror film with Ben Affleck, Rose McGowan, Liev Schreiber and :o Peter O'Toole! Written by Dean Koontz based on his book of the same name. A great idea but just bad executed. It was made the year after the first Scream and was produced by the Weinsteins. It might have gotten buried because i'm a huge horror nut and i've never heard of it.

4/10 mainly for O'Toole and McGowan who did they best with what they were given. This was Affleck obviously during his "I'll do anything that comes across my table" period.

Far better than I expected it to be. Johnny Depp was very good as Tonto. You can see he's enjoying himself playing the role. The film did have a strange narrative though (older Tonto telling his tale to the little boy) which wasn't necessary. And the film did a feel a bit too long. But it was a fun film to watch. :)

Sexy Beast - Probably Ray Winstone's best ever film. Also great performances from Sir Ben Kingsley and Ian Mcshane.

    Wreck it Ralph,

good film overall, animation good , story ok, best part was the cast thought points for Bill O'reilly , Sue Sylvester!:D and that lad from 30 Rock, .....urgh, don't like Sarah Silverman thought , with her being big part of the film though is an issue.

    7/10.

Blue Jasmine -Cate Blanchett channels her inner Blanche Dubois in this brilliant film, it's a rare thing, an award contender that is not overhyped or just rubbish. It's probably a bit too bleak to win any awards though. 9/10

Huge fan of Chloe Moretz but it's no where near as good as the original.

American Hustle - I was going to wait until it came out on DVD but I thought what the hell, I had a free period in the afternoon. Anyway I surprisingly enjoyed it. Bale gives a surprisingly understated (yet still brilliant) performance, he works so well with Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence in particular. Still can't work out if J Law's performance is brilliant or unnecessarily OTT :o

Very powerful film, you really forget your watching Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto, both were amazing. It's become one of my favourite films instantly.

Brilliant performances from Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence and Christian Bale, let down slightly by it being unnecessarily long and Bradley Cooper being unnecessarily annoying.

Oh my, I never realised going into this film how funny it would be. It was hilarious especially the 'Lemmons scene', that scene will be getting re-watched multiple times. Great cast, Leo was fantastic as always. Even though its 3 hours long time flew by because there was never a dull moment.

    12 Years A Slave

With all the hype surrounding the film I took a contrary view that the film would probably be an overrated disappointment, and I went into it with low expectations, but I have to say that it was an excellent film.

Not something I could say I thoroughly enjoyed, given the subject matter, but well worth watching.
