Can't find a thread on it yet so here's one.

So excited when I saw this trailer in between Borgen last night.

Have any of you been watching The Tunnel too? I really like it and it'll finish just before the new series :D

Yes - Jan 4 it seems.

The Tunnel is only available to Sky people, I believe.

@ chloe_26 - If it's possible would you be able to amend the subject title of the thread to say something like 'UK pace - no spoilers' please? Can imagine there being problems otherwise.

Are you saying The Tunnel is soon to get an airing on FTA TV?

I've been watching The Tunnel and enjoying it very much, although I didn't see The Bridge originally. The final episode is on Sky Atlantic on Wednesday night.

Thanks for this. I will set my recorder and watch again at a more civilised time.

An absolutely fantastic series, I think Saga Norén is an absolutely fascinating character and the misunderstandings she has are quite endearing and amusing. I look forward to the second series.

I haven't seen The Tunnel but I'd like to.

The Tunnel is available by "other means" if like me you don't have Sky Atlantic. It's pretty good, not as good as the original but I thought it was better than the US version of The Bridge.

Convention is that in the absence of a quote the reply is to the immediately preceding post.

    (Post quoted for clarity.)

Well I assumed that was the post you meant, hence my confusion.

Where was there a suggestion that The Tunnel was to be shown on FTA TV?

Post 4, the immediately preceding post to mine as I said before.

I edited my post since you replied. That poster was obviously referring to The Bridge, which starts on Jan 4.

It is not obvious at all that they were referring to The Bridge. Why bother including a quote that only mentions The Tunnel if that is not what they were referring to?

So pleased the first series is being repeated as I want to record to DVD having lost the first six parts due to Sky planner auto deleting!

Just can't wait for Saga to come back to our screens. She is simply fascinating and played wonderfully by Sofia Helin.

The Sky show despite copying the story is just about passable viewing, but neither Saga nor Martin can be mimicked and the level of crime doesn't suit the Anglo French character. Enough about that. This is about the original and the best and the days cannot go by soon enough!

Perhaps they should have edited my post to remove the second sentence, which was just a comment about the off-topic reference in the original post.

The Bridge 2 starts on Jan 4, and that is what the on-topic first sentence was about.

Anyway, enough of this already! :)

I agree - she's one of my favourite ever characters aside from Sarah Lund and Sherlock.

    I prefer Saga to Sarah.

Just seen the ad on BBC Two, more excited for this than I am for anything over Christmas.
Confirmed as a 'double bill' on Saturday 4th January by the way.

I've asked for the subject title to be changed but nothing has happened yet :)
