Also add 'The Hardest Part' and 'Charlie Brown' in there too please.:)

I personally reckon Charlie Brown is their weakest single.

I like this topic but I don't like any of the artists mentioned. I might try to cobble together a Bowie Best Of but it would be very hard work. Any Bowie fans around? Or Neil Young or any other old codger?

I was going for a one-disc collection. With a two-disc, you can cram a lot more on. I left off two of my absolute faves, Politik and Lovers in Japan. With a best of/greatest hits, it's cool to see what would make an accurate representation of an act's body of work. :)

Ah I see. That's cool. I do agree with you about Politik though. Still think it's one of the best songs Chris Martin has ever written.

    Best of Daft Punk

    1. Get Lucky (Radio Edit) [feat. Pharrell Williams]
    2. Around the World
    3. Digital Love
    4. Revolution 909
    5. Television Rules the Nation / Crescendolls ( a studio mix created for this album )
    6. One More Time
    7. Aerodynamic
    8. Lose Yourself to Dance (feat. Pharrell Williams)
    9. Make Love
    10. Doin' It Right (feat. Panda Bear)
    11. Human After All
    12. Robot Rock
    13. Fragments of Time (feat. Todd Edwards)
    14. Da Funk
    15. Harder Better Faster Stronger

Additional tracks for a Bonus Track Version:

    16. Derezzed
    17. Music Sounds Better With You ( by Stardust )
    18. Musique

Hypothetically, Daft Punk would blend and sequence the tracks together to resemble a DJ set, leaving no gaps between tracks. They could possibly also remix the songs slightly to give the tracks a little more of the feel of whatever they happen to be into at the time (70s disco or French House etc.) à la Madonna with The Immaculate Collection (when she gave her songs more of a dance touch).

Politik is always great to listen to, it just sounds amazing. :)

Yeah, I'm surprised Rihanna hasn't released one. Also, Mariah Carey hasn't since 2001, and she's had a lot of hits since then.

There's another group who haven't had one - Muse, and they've had a ton of hits. (And, yes, I'll be working on a Greatest Hits album tomorrow afternoon.)

Kate Bush is long overdue a (new) greatest hits, her one and only was released back in 1986.

    Disc one

    Wuthering Heights
The Man With The Child In His Eyes
    Wow
    Breathing
    Babooshka
    Army Dreamers
    Sat In Your Lap
    There Goes A Tenner
    Running Up That Hill
    Cloudbusting
    Hounds Of Love
    Don't Give Up

    Disc two

    The Sensual World
    This Woman's Work
    Love And Anger
    Rocket Man
    Rubberband Girl
    Moments Of Pleasure
    The Red Shoes
    And So Is Love
    King Of The Mountain
    Deeper Understanding 2011
    Wild Man
    New song

I'm sure Kate would be a bit more inspired than to stick it all in chronological order though.

    Great suggestion, babelogue.

    I would add:

    Experiment IV
    The Big Sky
    The Dreaming
Suspended In Gaffa (never released as a single here, but she did make a video)

Greatest hits are kind of a thing of the past now though. People can just create their own playlists of an artist on Spotify or if they bother buying the albums on I tunes just create one of their own. But it's a good idea putting your ideas here as it gets people thinking of them

Ok, here's what I'd select then. :) I'd be including EP tracks as well.

    Disc 3

    1. Bigger Stronger
    2. For You
    3. Help Is Round the Corner
    4. No More Keeping My Feet on the Ground
    5. One I Love
    6. I Ran Away
    7. Crests of Waves
    8. Things I Don't Understand
    9. Gravity
    10. Lovers in Japan (Acoustic Version)
    11. Prospekt's March/Poppyfields
    12. The Goldrush
    13. Moving to Mars

I've kept the tracklisting to 13 songs to match up with the other discs. Coldplay have a lot of good b-sides/EP songs that I've had to leave off, therefore! It's a pity that they've seemingly stopped releasing bonus tracks with their singles. :( Still, they were extremely generous with them in the past! :)

I reckon Avril might have to release one fairly soon.
