Oh wait, she already is pretending. Just seen the new photos on her website pretending she is now a ballet dancer. If you are going to do that, at least learn to tie your shoes properly. Which in those pictures she is not. No teacher would let her students ever wear their shoes like that, its just not safe. Ribbons should be tucked in incase of accidents and tripping.
I do hope that she is now not going to go and give small young girls who idolise her the idea that they can suddenly just put on a pair of pointe shoes and dance on their toes without extensive training and long term experience. It is totally irresponsible and dangerous. Pointe shoes are not toys and can cause serious damage when used by untrained people. It only takes one slip and there is a broken ankle, leg or worse. Apart from that before the bones have fully fused it can cause permanent damage to the skeleton due to the amount of pressure it puts on the body.
