its grim and does nothing. have a lemon and ginger tea, and lots of paracetmol pills,, something to make you sleep and lots of fluids, it will do the same thing at a fraction of the cost and pain of swallowing that filth.
Squeeze the juice of a lemon into a glass and add a generous measure of honey. Add hot water and take a couple of paracetamol if you have a high temperature.

In the Elizabethan era, it was fashionable among the rich to have your teeth blackened.
It showed that you were rich enough to afford sugar in your food.
Teeth are only of importance to people that cant afford pureed food , I suppose.
If you don't like the taste, just take the active ingredients in tablet form, which in standard Lemsip will simply be paracetemol (pain relief) and phenylephrine (decongestant).
Asda/Tesco do their own brand tablets containing just these and call them 'cold relief capsules'. Works out a lot cheaper.
