Cycling from Gibraltar back up to Yorkshire
Tomorrow Im setting off on a push bike to cycle from Gibraltar back home to my roots in Yorkshire! Im going completely solo as well. 1500 miles it is, and will take about 25 days. 25 days of roads.. more roads and some erm.. roads.
But its all for charity! coz im nice like that. I've already raised nearly £2000 combined for the charities. Jane Tomlinson Appeal (You can donate online!! hint hint wink wink) and the Gibraltar Society for Cancer Relief. More info here www.gibraltartoyorkshire.co.uk and in my true geeky style. The website is nerded up to hell! Got a GPS Tracker on the go so you can see if im still moving. Got Twitter feed (follow me @gibtoyorks). Got Facebook page, and ill be updating a blog. You can even send me messages of encouragement through the site that will be delivered to my phone. So please do! Its been a fantastic few months just building up to it. Done some radio interviews, been on local Gib TV down here! Been in numerous papers. Its great Taking a 3g dongle and netbook so I can keep up with digitalspy of course!! |

To the OP: Thank you for being a true source of inspiration for me! Whilst I may never, ever do cycling on such a drastic distance to what you did, it has still nonetheless given me massive inspiration to cycle extreme distances!

Something going on here because another 'new' member dug up an old one and funnily enough a Gibraltar based thread.
