Try "Rivers of London" by Ben Aaronovitch if you love Harry Potter. An adult novel but really easy to read and highly entertaining. It has a tremendously hilarious wizard in it

Have you tried The Saga of Darren Shan? Don't let the book covers put you off (they look a bit gruesome). He's a fantastic storyteller and there are 12 books in total but they're very easy to read. I used to have to blackmail my son to read before we came across this series, I think you would really enjoy them.

the c s lewis narnai books are excellent easy read although possibly old fashioned now and very detectable underlying christian preachyness
