  It depends on hundreds of factors. If you're Hannibal Lecter, the best revenge is to eat the person.
  
  If you are getting revenge for being ice-bucketed then cannibalism is probably excessive.

  as the other hm said, success is the best revenge. nothing gets up a bitter persons nose more than seeing the person they hate being happy because theyre making a success of their lives

  Legendary 17th century welsh poet George Herbert was famously quoted as saying "The best revenge is living well"... Mind you, he died aged 39 of TB so I wouldn't listen to him. If you ask me the best revenge is stitching a raw sardine into the hem of someones curtain.
