Any predictions on the Voice ratings for tonight? Will it stay above 6 million or will it beat SNT?

It won't beat SNT any more than it will beat BGT next week. if it stays around last weeks figure I think the BEEB wil be happy as they will see it as a fairly solid base

I think it will probably get around 6 million or so tonight

It's the last episode of Takeaway tonight. Got Talent will beat it comfortably next week by a margin of at least two million.

I don't think it will beat Saturday Night Takeaway this evening as its the last. The Voice ratings will go down from next week and will probably continue to go down as BGT will be on at conflicting times.

I don't think there's much chance of it beating SNT, I'm expecting around 6 million viewers.

However I do believe it will beat BGT due to the no adverts & starting beforehand and may rise to about 8 million viewers next week.

If it can only just cross 6 million against SNT it has no chance at all to beat BGT, no matter what the BBC do to work around it. I think they would be pleased if it hanged on around the 5m mark.

I think it'll hold, might peak a little at the battle rounds (especially with the new twists) and then dive off for the awful finals

I don't understand why it's not getting high ratings?

I think BGT will get much higher ratings/

Great breakdown, but it's almost identical to last week. Why do people not bother tuning in until halfway through? It's not even because of SNT as it rose by 2.5 million when SNT was still on.

I'd blame it on the weather, but the share also rises and SNT's breakdowns have been really consistent.

I think the Voice will rise next week. I think BGT have a higher peak but The Voice will edge it slightly.

As far as I can see if the difference in ratings is fewer than one million then it's a draw. I'm not interested in 'point something of a million'.

Wikipedia have now got the official BARB ratings for The Voice on 30 March as 7.47m. If that's correct it is up 1 million on the overnights.

What did it get for the first episode in the officials last year? I think if BGT is really bad next week, it could benefit the Voice. However, if it is good...

9.44 for last year's first episode. I think that was when BGT was on later so there was no competition at the start.

7.4million against SNT which had 6.9million officially is fantastic.

I think Saturday's episode will rise to over 8million it seemed to get more people talking than the first episode did and also had a range of fantastic singers.

I don't think 6.9 is the right official figure for SNT. I think it is higher than the Voice but I am not an expert on these things, so I am sure that someone else on here will have the right figure.

The figure for the first episode of the Voice last year was extremely high for a new entertainment show. I think it would have been better if it grew slowly rather than losing ratings in its second year. People have such high expectations for its now. It is a victim of the success of the auditions shows of last year

It overperformed last year - it's a lot better if it slowly grows from a starting base of 7m to, say, a possibly finishing base of 10m rather than going from 11m to 5m in a matter of weeks and not again hitting that figure.

Regarding SNT - that 6.9m figure does not include HD as with ITV, they usually report HD figures on the BARB website separately so if you are looking at the top 10 for example, you would see a top 10 for ITV, ITV HD and ITV +1, but only a top 30 for ITV.

So, 6.9m on ITV, but the ITV HD figures for that week (week ending 31st March) haven't been reported. Maybe someone with access to the ratings will manage to get them :)

I wonder how many articles we will see about TV beating SNT in the officials like we saw numerous when it was the other way around for the overnights. I doubt there will be many if any at all.

We don't have ITV's HD figures which could make all the difference. The official figure for SNT is certainly higher than 6.9m as that is excluding the HD simulcast which is reported separately; unfortunately the HD data doesn't appear to have been reported this week.

The highest official rating for the series thus far has been a 7.25 as far as I can tell. I'm sure the finale will be much more than that, but I doubt the HD ratings will be that much. It might put it over TV, but by very little.

The official rating including plus +1 was about 8.1m (posted on the Ratings Thread). Estimate the figure Inc HD by adding 700-800k to the 6.9m as that is how it usually does on HD. So, maybe 7.7m inc HD and 400k on +1 roughly which seems likely.

I just don't see it beating Britains Got Talent in the ratings. Which would be a blow for The Voice.
