Genuinely interested to find out why Sam's fans wanted him to win (whether you voted or not). Was it:

Because he is an inspiration to young deaf people
Because I loved his "cheesy" jokes
Because he stood up to Dexter
Because he's good looking
Because he didn't get involved in bitching
Because he was the most entertaining housemate
As a "protest vote" to stop another housemate winning
Because he showed himself to be a genuinely nice guy
Other (please specify)

He was a nice guy and could be amusing sometimes. People on this forum can lose all perspective sometimes.

Yes! The only option that is missing that needs to be there.

    All of those things!

You left out because he said "my expanded winkie" :p.

That was worth three votes :D

I would be hesitant to call that. As it could be Anti Sam posters voting there.
Missed a trick with a none of the above option.

You may well ask why viewers wanted Dexter to win - he wasn't all that, either.

    Rude.
The options in the poll look pretty positive about Sam and yet you bring up someone else.

I'm not a Sam fan, but voted for him to win last night.

Voted for the protest vote option, even though it wasn't purely down to that.

It seemed very clear that it was between Sam, Dexter and Gina for the win and as I couldn't stand Gina, that left Dexter or Sam. Voted for Sam because I felt he was the more genuine of the two and was a nice enough guy who had been himself throughout. All in all though I felt a bit "meh" about him, but he was preferable to the other two.

I can understand this -- sometimes you do vote for another housemate to stop the one who dislike from winning. The crowd were very pro Sam last night too

What I meant by it wasn't purely a protest vote, was that it wasn't just about not wanting the other two to win. Sam himself had some positives which helped make him the preferable option.

No worries - I tend to watch 2/3rd of the series before making my mind up and of course if anyone has a good/bad week we are all entitled to change our opinion. I do think Sam had a surge in support over the last 2/3 weeks while Gina fell back and Dexter was static. It could have been a different result if the show was either 2/3 weeks longer or shorter but it's the votes that count!
