Hats off to BT for Olympic Stadium coverage

I was in the stadium this morning for the athletics and was using my iPhone and iPad on BT Openzone. It was the best public wifi I have ever found. 80.000 people and I was getting 25mbits download and 26mbits upload. It didn't falter all morning. I was watching the BBC live video coverage of the events that we're happening in front of me. Quite useful cos the few seconds lag meant I had my own personal action replay !

I did about 5 speed tests and each time I was getting something very close to those figures.

that would be because its only free to BT customers (and possibly O2). Had a look when I was in the park, and at £5.99 for 90 mins worth I gave it a miss. Suspect most folks would do the same.
