I love Marine I really do but she kinda comes off snobbish here as if its beneath her.

She's probably seen what it's done to Scott Maslen, at least she's honest!

I do think it doesn;t do a lot for some people. That Georgina girl that was with James in the first season, for example. I'm not saying Martine is a stroppy mare but, if she was, that would be a veyr good reason as well not to do it! People are very exposed on the programme and it is a risk.

However, for people like Kara or Alesha it can open up the chance of work in a completely different area and Jill got a great boost with Chicago. Looks like it's not done Matt any harm either.

Let's face it, the bar was not that high in the first instance: as is the case with 95% of SCD entrants

She's not going to do it?

    Oh mannn...

This is almost as disapointing as Ann Widdicome's exit from this year's show.

    ;)

Martine McCutcheon has claimed that she will not accept an offer to compete on Strictly Come Dancing - because it would be "hard work".

    I'll say...

Sigh. Does this mean that for the next six months we'll have every Z list celebrity issuing a press release to say why they wouldn't do a reality show they haven't even been asked to do? Didn't Alan Titchmarsh say something recently about how he'd turned it down many times? Even Widdy had been asked before now.

I'd love to know how many people those poor BBC researchers have to ask every year - hundreds, I'll be bound.

She's also good friends with Letitita Dean and Louisa, who danced in earlier series. Maybe she's being honest - she doesn't want to spend 5-8 hours training every single day.
Other celebs have turned Strictly down for the same reason, notably one of the Osborne females.

BTW what's with calling women "mares" nowadays? very odd or am I missing something?

Martine won't be doing Strictly? Shock horror. Next you'll be telling me that Frank Sinatra has turned it down. He's always in the rumours list!

True, but I honestly don't particularly want to go to Waitrose this afternoon, but I won't be telling the press about it.
That also would be about as much interest to most.

She's not the only one to make such a declaration, several people have done so down the years. In some cases I suspect it's been in response to being asked about it after their names have appeared as possibles in forums such as this!

The best news I have had since Widdicombe got booted out. :D

I really don't think that I could have watched it if that awful phoney had taken part.

Carry on advertising Activia dear, that is about as far as your "talent" stretches. ;)
