Joss Stone will release her new album, Water For Your Soul soon. She just announced it. She also has a contest for fans to design the new album cover!
READ ALL ABOUT IT HERE!!!
The question is, can the new album be successful. She always sells consistently and gets decent chart positions around the world, but she doesn't get UK hit singles or strong sales anymore. Can the new album change that? I personally think all her albums are perfect and she deserves more success...

I do have all her album a bit can't say I've been anywhere near as impressed with anything since her debut.
Good luck to her.
Thanks for informing me about the new album though

This.
Super Heavy is a brilliant album - weird combination but it totally works.
Then she'll join Kate Nash in the independent rank soon enough. The industry is tiny compared to 10 years ago, if she's not interested in actually selling records any longer then she'll be dropped soon enough.
I think her ego and image got in the way of her continued success and likeability.
I doubt it. She is her own boss. Not signed to a label and hasn't been since 2010/2011. She has her own label, which is based in her house in Devon. She does all her own promotion and finances all her own tours and albums.
She sold her whole career earnings to get out of her old record deal. She was never in it for high sales or money, she was always in it because she simply loves music.
I admire her 100 per cent for that. She isn't a puppet and is fully in control of what she does.
I never had her down as someone with an ego. But when a women wants to take control of her career and do what she wants to do, it can always been seen as having an ego for some reason.
Her popularity went down because she spoke in an american accent at the brits and appeared with wild purple hair. So what? But she recieved ridicule and was slammed by the public. UK turned her back on her while the US continued to embrace her. But this never stopped her. Since all that, she has had the pleasure of working with Ringo Starr, Jeff beck (who she did a grammy award winning song with), Nas, Damien Marley and struck up a brilliant partnership with the legend that is Dave Stewart.
The contradiction is right there, she committed the cardinal sin of seeming inauthentic, it's hard to get back from that but not impossible.
