I must admit from being a massive James fan, I am slightly disappointed to be honest. The tune may be catchy and have a funky edge to it, but regardless of what some might say; his soulful voice is what makes him unique and he relies on emotion. I don't feel that with this song, and the sound track overshadows his vocals throughout. It sounded decent live though.
OH MY GOD - this song is amazing, the way the beat comes on after that typical R&B sort of start....OH MY GOD did I fall in love with this track.
Amazing just amazing...definitely top of the current generic 'dance hits' chart. Can't wait for this to be released so we actually have a tune at the top of the charts.

I agree, it's a bit over-produced. It doesn't sound like anything else out there on radio now, but yet....it's still catchy enough despite sounding erratic in some places...
me, too... you can say it's a bit over-produced but i really like how james' voice just slots in with all the other instruments and the beat is mighty fine as well...

I quite like it, though
Yeah, don't get me wrong, I will like anything James does as he has such a unique tone. I am looking forward to his album, it has been a long wait.
Fairly average affair. Will it get to No1? Lots of average singles do, and it will be hard to tell given that the previous single was also a charity record. Unfortunately I think our James is more suited to being a singer at funerals given the dirgelike way of his delivery. If he does well good for him - but I don't think he'll be a massive star.

Proves that as usual you haven't listened to it because people here are complaining (if they are complaining) it is overproduced not that it lacks energy.
If you think this style is suited to funeral songs then I would want this style of music played at my funeral.

Quite agree.
The music industry is so bad at the minute though, that well below average music can get to number one. Hence the reason I avoid crappy chart music.
People who only listen to chart music, and avoid real music, will probably think this is the greatest song ever.
It's a bit like Twilight. If it's fans read other books, our watched other films, they would raise how bad it truly is. Everything is comparative to what you experience subjectively.

Hey I like music which hasn't even charted - and I really like this song. Does that mean I'm like a weird 'Twilight' fan? Unbelievable I'm free to like whatever I want - charted or no chart, mainstream or indie. Loads of us on this forum listen to all kinds of music - much of it indie, and some of us like this song - there's nothing wrong in that!
Hate it when people just speak like this as though chart music isn't 'real music' - the reason its charted in the first place is because people like it! You avoid chart music just because its chart music - not actually because the music sounds bad!

Not at all, I like good music whether it's on the charts or not. Most chart music is crap though, probably because it's part of the mass producing music machine that is the music industry. If people listened outside of the radio though, they would find a whole new world of music.
Its a shame cause this shit will probably get number 1 and it is actually the shittest x factor single I have ever heared I would rather listen to the cheeky girls then this loud mess of a song

Amazing? Seriously?
Bland repetitive B-side material at best.
Now I wonder what age group you are?
So did "Gandma We Love You" and "Shaddap You Face".
Has he got them awful teeth sorted out yet?
what a load of crap
