In the series 9 finale where they go to watch Ross's speech Joey laughs at the word "erectus" in the uncut version - this part was cut from a showing on E4 and yet after Joey catches Rachel laughing at a word in Ross' Speech he asks her what she's laughing at:
Joey: Erectus?
Rachel: No, homo
The word "erectus" was cut and the word homo was left in.
This episode is always skipped on E4/C4....last time it was on C4 it was at 12:35am !
This episode is the only one that recievs a '15' certificate on the dvd/video, all the rest are '12' and 'PG'
Every other episode is just edited to remove strong language, references to sexual activity/pornography and druge use
This episode (One with free porn) was shown uncut last Friday, but I can't remember if it was on E4 or Channel 4 anyway it was on at 10pm, must of been E4

They did show it on Channel 4 last year once on a Saturday night, along with another questionable episode. I think they had a spare hour and decided to give these a run.
Well I'm guessing there must be some system similar to ours. But to be honest, whatever the system, it still doesn't allow for shows broadcast at 10pm to be anything like our primetime shows. ABC wouldn't even let a naked backside be shown on Desperate Housewives. Unbelievable...
It's all about the East/West/Mountain time Zones. When something goes out after 10pm on the east coast it goes out too early somewhere else. The only time you can show adult stuff on USA networks is after 10pm. I don't understand why they don't just delay their feeds, it's ridiculous!
I'm sorry, but I only found Friends mildly entertaining the first time. Now C4 & E4 show it every time they have a blank slot in their schedule. E4 in particular would be a MINT channel if it wasn't for all the Friends. I for one am absolutely sick of it, and I am not alone as many of the people I know who have E4 feel the same.
I understand completely that some people love it, and there's nothing wrong with that, but C4 & E4 just have it on near-constantly. I don't mind an episode here and there, but having looked at the TV guide for this week, between C4 & E4 there are 23 scheduled episodes of it. My god, give it a rest, please.
I like it, have all seasons on DVD - but I can't stand to watch E4, its worse than the complete reality filled schedule - they must have gotten their fair share of money from that show!
Interestingly at 11.30am on a weekday at Christmas Phoebe mouthed "mother fu..." (just that, we didn't see the end of the second word) in an episode and Channel 4 went to an emergency screen for a few seconds while still playing the audio, which was just dramatic music over Phoebe's "swearing".
The same episode went out at the weekend at 9.50am on T4 completly uncut.
In recent news CBS was fined a huge amount for showing a scene depicting a teen orgy before 10PM, although some believe it would have been fine to show after 10.
What was this?
Anymore details?? an episode the OC that might actually make you want to watch it?
which episode is a 15?? i have them on dvd and don't remember seeing anything i would have thought was a 15 anyone know why ???
The Series 4 Boxset is a 15 certificate.
Another intersting point, I've got the Series 3 DVD boxset which has a 12 certificate on the box but the disc cases inside have a PG certificate on their sleeves so how on earth did they work that out ????????
I've seen every episode of Friends so many times, but I still find them funny. I hadn't watched Friends for ages, but I've recently been watching it in the evenings on E4.
A few years ago, I used to think that Ross was the worst character. In reality though, he is the best. Ross has the funniest episodes - the one where he whitens his teeth, the one with the leather trousers, the one where he says Rachel's name at the wedding. There's so many good Ross episodes.

No that was me - i think that the gaffer meant h**ker
I do think that it was right that wh*re was left it, considering what time it was on, but i don't see any other rightful cuttings?
wh**e
Both mean same thing.
gaffer
If the kids aren't supposed to watch it, why show a cut-down version?
gaffer
spose so, but then you could just say that desperate Housewives isn't meant for kids and show that at 5, if you see what i mean
Joey: Erectus?
Rachel: No, homo

The last two days have had a few cuts I've noticed, but forgotten. Although im surprised they kept Monica's fake orgasm in.
