I've just finished watching all 3 series over 5 nights and really wish I could forget everything I watched...... just so I can watch it all again for the first time!

It's an absolutely amazing show and I'm surprised it's taken so long to be picked up by UK television.

The clips looked great when they advertised it tonight, but I'm surprised it's in SD....Although Ch5 do often show HD shows and films in SD.

According to Digiguide it is in SD. RTÉ TWO are showing it in HD, and it looks fantastic in HD, so really surprised Channel 5 didn't obtain a HD copy.

I'm not surprised at all to be honest. Channel 5 regularly show up to date films at prime time in SD. It must cost them more to broadcast in HD I suppose.

Sit back and enjoy people!, wouldn't mind forgetting everything and start from the beginning again... You all are in for a few surprises along the way :). Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Nidge) and Aidan Gillen (John Boy) are exceptional.

I wish I was watching for the first time. Loved this. Yiz lucky b******* :)

The funniest thing I remember was not long after Season 1 aired here (2010) I saw an interview with Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Nidge) and I nearly died. Couldn't believe how softly spoken he was. Nothing like his character! Sign of a great actor.

It seems to be a great launching pad fpr new talent. Several of the cast have already landed excellent roles in UK dramas.

Yeah I think some of the acting in Seasons 1/2 was sometimes a little suspect but they all came into their own in the latter stages of Season 2 and all of Season 3.

The acting is a bit ropey but Robert Sheehan (?) is very good. He has a great face.
