So after a regeneration it's no longer colour of hair but colour of kidneys?

    The ginger thing was a throwaway joke that was briefly reprised. Some people on Facebook (that I've seen) seem to think he DESPERATELY wanted to be ginger, when it was actually more like "Hey, wouldn't it be great if I was ginger?"

    Besides, surely "New Kidneys" is a new version of the "New Teeth" joke?

    It reminded me of that Red Dwarf episode when Cat said his organs were colour co-ordinated!

    People are so literal, so many people taking the first few lines seriously and that he can't fly the tardis or that he saw a past companion before he renerated all of those instances has happened to prior doctors...

    The thing I find funny is that he seemed to automatically know what the color of his internal organs were, but had to actually check to see what the color of his hair was.

    lol thats a good point! I wonder if he will ask later about the hair colour thing, there is still time as the regen doesnt stop till a little while after he's changed! That also explains the 'forgetfulness' ect that people seem to think is permanent and Im sure its not!

    lol I can see that! I think it will also be dismissed straight after and not mentioned again!

    They chose kidneys no doubt because Capaldi's older. I imagine there will be lots of old man jokes to come...

    You mean Clara is going to have to be his nurse ?. There could be a lots of crude jokes there. Think it is good to have an older doctor.Change from jokes about him being a "pretty boy" or "baby faced". Imagine if they had picked a spotty teenager !.:p

    I'm glad I don't run OFCOM. Banging peoples' heads together 417 times would be dreadfully tiring.
