No one I think could argue against
    Jack and Vera
    Hilda and Stan
    Roy and Hayley in Corri.

In Emmerdale, while they were not man and wife, and there was nothing sexual between them, Amos and Henry were brilliant. Another Brilliant Emmerdale double act were Seth Armstrong and Kim Tate. While Kim was a proper bitch, who got up the noses of many, she and Seth always got on great and they seemed to think of each other as a kind of father and daughter couple. Jimmy and Nicola are also brilliant together, even if they have their moments.

    EastEnders:

    Sharon/Dennis
    Christian/Syed
    Jack/Tanya
    Stacey/Bradley
    Joey/Lauren

    Corrie:

Tony/Maria - Yes I know he had Liam killed but he felt genuine guilt and remorse over that. He genuinely loved Maria and came to love her baby as his own. He was far better suited to Maria than Carla and much happier with her. The friendship/relationship they had between February and November was amazing.

David & Kylie. Hopefully they'll be back together soon
Jack and Vera: No explanation needed.
And of course, Kevin and Molly. It was such a powerful, genuine and believable story of love, tenderness and affection.

How the true greats are forgotten. How on earth has nobody mentioned one of the best, realistic and gritty soap couples of all time, featuring a current resident of Coronation Street herself, who was also in another relationship for comedy purposes with the same man.

I'm talking SHEILA & BOBBY GRANT in Brookside from 1982 to 1987.

    They were brilliant.

    Nick and Leanne....but also
    Peter and Leanne
Tony and Maria...he was so in love with her it was bordering on obsessiveness..
    Kevin and Sally.

    ED
    Cain and Charity
    Ashley and Laurel

It just goes to show how soaps like splitting couple's up, out of the six I've chosen only one couple are still together....but give it time they have only been married for a year and it's there second time of marriage lol
