This unicorn horn is funny - more like HIGHLAND GAMES hair.

Yes! What made me laugh was the judges pushing 'the caber' two inches towards the front of the poor model's head, agreeing with each other that 'If only you'd pitched it forward a bit, it'd look much better'.

Eh? It would still look like a draught excluder wrapped in wigs. What planet are they on?

'Ice queen' was a worthy winner. By far the most flattering look IMO, in fact the only one.

Enjoyed this and thought the 'Ice Queen' hairdo was fantastic!

I hadn't realised that they were all amatuers and was amazed that some of them had never cut any hair EVER before the cut challenge!

I think they are very clever in what they can produce and I like the format of the show.

Haven't Channel 4 already done this with The Salon several years ago?

Missed the beginning (watching Sewing Bee with Ancient P).

    Looking 'interesting'.

Some very bizarre styles with the plaiting and braiding!

That's very Gerda, quiite intricate though.

    This one looks pretty cool.

This blonde one is a bit of an art work.

Unlike this one, which is seriously messy.

I think I like Laura and Dominika's the best. The others are a bit messy.

    This plaiting is rather fascinating.

That girl looks like she's got a twenties hair band - good.

I hate Ebuni's forehead thing  but the basket weave is nice.

    Ditto ;). I can't see why it's not more popular. It's like a hairy bake off :D

I wear my hair like that sometimes, big curls. Well when the weather isn't non stop rain.

Confuses me too. I love the Sewing Bee and this straight after. I can't either sew or do anything with hair, but it's still fascinating, and I learn something - and it's 'citing.:D

I guess it shows their age they don't know how to layer. Layering used to be huge right? I'm thinking The Rachel cut.

This is quite a tough challenge.

I'm not massively fond of Steve Jones but he seems to be nice and reassuring.

    Young lad is really struggling.

I know a lot about hair and trim/cut my own but even I wouldn't be confident to layer.

I used to do this every week, under a hot dryer for an hour with rollers. Got to start doing it again.

And they hit the person in the face.

I like the fact these are all amateurs. It certainly shows, and they are learning all the time. (As am I).

I used to curl my hair using wax filled rollers I boiled in water in a pan.

They cooled down all on their own.

(Weighed a ton as I remember)

Aww I feel bad for Laura. Especially as curlers are her thing! She seems sweet.

If there is even a slight bit of damp hair it will ruin the whole style.

Ask me how I know! :D
