Will The Paternoster Gang Return One Last Time?

Afternoon everyone. I'm just wondering if anyone else thinks that it's quite likely that the Paternoster Gang will return in series ten? It is Moffat's last series after all and they are certainly one of his better additions to the show in recent years. It would be a shame if they didn't come back one more time. I would really like to see an origins story where we see them all put together by Twelve in some way which would bring their story full circle as we know that they will eventually be the ones to help Clara see Twelve as the Doctor and get things going for him. (Plus they'll help save the Doctor on several occasions)

Series 10 sounds to be a little lighter so it's definitely possible we could see them return.
Don't see why the OP suggests 'one last time' though. To me there is no reason why they couldn't still be popping up in the series after Moffat has gone. Like Captain Jack they could fit seamlessly with any Doctor in any future era of the show in my opinion.
LOVE the Paternoster Gang!!
"You've been asleep, gang, for more than a hundred years" says Samuel L. Jackson.
Yes, that. Exactly that!
There's no particular reason why any of the recurring characters should not return if there's a story idea that warrants it. That goes for the Chibnall era too, but I suspect there won't be any returning characters from past eras (aside from the Daleks) until after he's put his own stamp on the show.
To me, they feel more like 11th Doctor era characters, or even Clara era characters as all their stories other than AGMGTW in S6 have involved her, and the show has moved on since then
They also have the disadvantage of requiring a Victorian London setting, and however well the BBC can do this era, it's a bit limiting.
They both are incredibly depressing. So is Series 6 and 7. (I will give him Series 5 which was pretty darn good until The Big Bang).
I've never understood what's supposed to be so depressing about Capaldi's series. Certainly not as bouncy and campy as what came before, going for a darker and more serious tone (save for smears like Robots of Sherwood), but it's still rather upbeat and silly. How many other shows could get away with introducing the lead riding in on a tank while playing a guitar?
Pertwee's and Baker's stories could often be much more serious or gloomier.
For me, a Doctor with little light about him, constant bickering with his companion, the series 8 finale being really dark in its themes and just a lack of fun about it makes it a depressing watch.
The show for me is mainly meant to be fun, mixed in with some occasional dark. Its competely the other way round and as a result means things like the tank scene you mention jar so badly and don't suit Capaldi's Doctor whatsoever. Tonally, the show can't find the happy medium for me as it stands.
It's all gone off in that sense since Matt left...
Now, answering the question of the thread, I'd like the Paternoster's to return one last time. They bring a nice but of fun and excitement with them. Admittedly, Deep Breath didn't show that so well in my opinion, but they are good characters. I do think they worked far better with Matt though...
Oh, you are talking about the tone of the show being dark and depressing. I was talking about the quality of the show making me depressed. LOL!
