Hour long episode tonight folks! Details (based on DS spoilers) are as follows....
Dark days for the Windass-Armstrong-Brown clan...
It's a partay atmosphere as preparations are getting underway for Chesney's 18th! Fiz invites Tirrone to the shindig, but he's edgy when talking to her and eventually has to confess that Krazy Kirsty thinks that they've got the hots for each other  Unbeknownst to the pair, Kirsty's been watching them chat and is fuming
Over at the factory, Kirky has made a hash of an order, so weird Rob informs the girls that they'll have to work overtime. However, Gary isn't happy about Izzy working overtime so storms over to have it out with Rob. Izzy tries to defuse the situation but suddenly doubles over in pain...
It's worrying times as Izzy is rushed to hospital, terrified that she's lost the baby. Gary stays by her side trying to calm her, while it's left to Sean to halt Chesney's party to break the news to everyone. At the hospital, the Windasses/Armstrongs wait nervously wait for news of Izzy, but the worst is confirmed as she tells Gary that she's miscarried Supportive as ever, Gary tries to comfort her and tells her that when she's 100% they can try for another baby but, after this, does Izzy really want to?

Think of the children!
Sunitart and Karl sit down to breakfast with Asda and Aldi. She suggests a trip to the cinema to try and have some normality, but the kids would rather spend time with Dev - who wakes up to find that Lloyd has been keeping watch over him after his meltdown last night. Karl's after his job back and pleads with Lloyd, but Lloyd is unmoved and lets him know that Dev almost did himself in because of this Karl business. Karl then relays this back to Sunita, but will she show any concern? She decides to have a chat with Dev and tells him to focus on the kids because they need him - will that be enough to stop Dev's suicidal thoughts?
Shenanigans at Streetcars...
Ryan cons a £30 sub out of Steve to buy some drugs  He then asks Kylie if she'd like to earn a bit of money and do him a favour at the same time. Will Kylie get involved in Ryan's dodgy dealings? Of course she will  Lloyd is  to find Kylie at the switch and is quick to show his disgust by firing Ryan, when he eventually returns. However, since Steve wants to get into Michelle's good books so badly, he overules Lloyd and reinstates Ryan - much to Lloyd's chagrin!
Best of the rest...
Marcus tentatively asks Sean if he's okay about his relationship with Aiden  Jason invites Maria for a drink and tells her to bring Marcus along too, while Steve is rather happy when Michelle agrees to meet him for a drink - wonder where this is leading?
Krazy Kirsty confronts Tyrone about actually socialising with Fiz  Sean also apologises to Marcus and gives him permission to date anyone he likes - how noble of him!

Playing catch-up with last night's episodes at the moment then Boyfriend is going to watch the opening ceremony of the Olympics so we won't be watching 'live' tonight.
Evening all!
Look like good eps tonight, can't wait.
Is it me or does 'old' Gary seem remarkably similar to 'current' Gary??:eek:
Anybody know when th'Olympics start?
Don’t worry if you have played before. The game is a bit like a simplified version of Fantasy Football so if you fancy having a go just read the rules below.
Also, if you’re an Emmerdale viewer you can play the Emmerdale version of the game too. Just check out tonight’s Emmerdaily thread for the starting list. The rules are the same as those for the Corrie Challenge.
Anyway, it’s a very easy game to play. The object of the game is to pick a team of 11 characters from those listed below which you think will score the more points than the other people playing the game.
Once you’ve whittled your shortlist down to 11 characters you will then need to nominate one of them as Captain. This character will have their score doubled so you’re really looking to identify the character which you think will score the most points during the month to maximise your chances of winning.
Then, simply post your choices on the thread or send them to me via PM, and keep an eye out for the Monday Episode Thread to see how your “team” is doing in the score updates.
The scoring system works as follows:-
+ 1 point per episode appearance
+ 1 point for the character that speaks the first words in the episode.
+ 1 point for the character that speaks the last words in the episode before the break.
+ 1 point for the character that speaks the first words in the episode after the break
+ 1 point for the character that speaks the last words in the episode.
+ 1 point for any kisses on the lips. If you have both characters who kiss in your team each character will receive a point.
+ 2 bonus points for any character that appears in 5 or more episodes during the week. In the event of any episodes being transmitted on a weekend the week will run from Monday to Sunday.
+ Remember that your team Captain gets their score doubled!!!
Once you’ve done all that you can also pick a name for your team. This will be listed in the Score Updates.
Your “Starting List” for August’s Corrie Challenge is as follows:-
• Remember you need to select ELEVEN characters (including a captain) – no more, no less.

The deadline for teams to be submitted is 8:30pm on Thursday 02 August
You do not need to do an extra “work” for this other than specify which gender you are if it is not already listed on your profile.
It works like this:-
The players in each of the teams have all their individual scores combined. If there is an imbalance between the genders then the genders with the most players will not include a number of the lowest scores.
For example if there were 10 Girls playing and 14 Boys playing the bottom four scoring male players would not have their points included in the team score for that week.
Each team also has an appointed Captain. For this month Madaboutcarla will be leading the Girls Team whilst Cragsby will be attempting to secure a victory for the Boys Team.
The Captains are both able to nominate one more character who will have their points doubled and added to the overall team score. This character can be anyone on the Starting List and does not have to be a character that the Captain has picked for their individual team.
You're welcome RK
