Hello all you lovely people! I am your thread bearer this evening and I hope I do you all proud! :D

Thread title inspiration courtesy of THIS

Anyhoo, in tonight's delectable double is the following.....
Sophie  is still spark out on the road after losing that fight with the car bonnet. As the driver calls an ambulance, Ry-un freaks out and decides to leg it - what a gent  Kevin gets "the call" informing him of Sophie's accident and rushes down to the hospital to keep another bedside vigil. It comes to light that an unnamed young man was with Sophie when the collision happened, but as Kevin tries to absorb everything he's told that Sophie has a fractured spine and may never walk again! *insert dramatic music here*

Sally arrives and joins Kev in the devastation as they hear that the op that Sophie needs may help, but then again could also still leave her paralysed. Sophie finally comes round (sadly) and confesses that Ry-un was being a mor-un in the road and that's how she got hit.
Meanwhile Ryan returns home to "mother" Michelle, who demands to know how Sophie ended up close to roadkill. Before Ryan can explain, good ol' Kevin turns up with his fists and proceeds to reveal Sophie may never walk again all because Ryan was high as a kite. Ryan then has another breakdown while over at the hospital, Sophie is wheeled off to theatre....

Party's over! Bloody Mary...
Beth continues to churn out the ouzo and Mad Mary doesn't seem to have control of the rabble. Matters get worse when Royston arrives home early (having left Hayley over in the US to look after Sylvia who's had a fall ) to find the cafe full of boozed-up loonies. Roy's annoyed and chucks them out, then lets fly at Mary for her part in turning his home into drunken chaos. The icing on the cake is when a licensing officer shows up and accuses the cafe of selling alcohol illegally
Mary insists that it ain't true, but the officer isn't swayed and informs Roy that he must attend the council offices on Monday. Mary incurs Roy's wrath again as he throws her out too. He then heads over to the Bistro to apologise to mummy's boy Nick and let's him know about the illegal alcohol allegation - but does Nick have any idea who's responsible for the report?

For added tedium...
Gary is still annoyingly obsessed and he won't shut up about what an amazing thing Tommy/Tina are doing for him and Izzy  Tommeh tries to keep a sense of normality by having a game of darts with Gary and Owen, but alas, they still won't shut up about this damn surrogacy! Tommy is finding it hard to hold his tongue and this leads to Gary apologising for not shutting up about this awful SL. Tommy still says it's hard to handle, but selfless Tina () wants to keep the peace and reassures Tommy by coming out with all that guff about wanting to spend the rest of her life with him *vomit* It pacifies him for now, but he still isn't a happy bunny.

And the tit-bits...
Emily sees Gloria and Lewis going off somewhere and the penny drops that Audrey has no idea about it and later on, Lewis feels a tad guilty about sneaking off with Gloria all secret like.
Maria has the bright idea to organise a night in with Jason, Marcus and scary-faced Aiden, but the awkwardness is blatanly still there over that kiss....

So, make of that what you will!

But to pass the time, here's some Corrie car chaos - enjoy!

October will soon be drawing to a close so it’s time to start thinking about your team for November’s Corrie Challenge.

Don’t worry if you have played before. The game is a bit like a simplified version of Fantasy Football so if you fancy having a go just read the rules below. And, if you're an Emmerdale viewer you can play the Emmerdale version of the game. Just check out any of this week's "Emmerdaily" thread for instructions.

Anyway, it’s a very easy game to play. The object of the game is to pick a team of 11 characters from those listed below which you think will score the more points than the other people playing the game.

Once you’ve whittled your shortlist down to 11 characters you will then need to nominate one of them as Captain. This character will have their score doubled so you’re really looking to identify the character which you think will score the most points during the month to maximise your chances of winning.

Then, simply post your choices on the thread or send them to me via PM, and keep an eye out for the Monday Episode Thread to see how your “team” is doing in the score updates.

The scoring system works as follows:-

+ 1 point per episode appearance

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the first words in the episode.

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the last words in the episode before the break.

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the first words in the episode after the break

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the last words in the episode.

+ 1 point for any kisses on the lips. If you have both characters who kiss in your team each character will receive a point.

+ 2 bonus points for any character that appears in 5 or more episodes during the week. In the event of any episodes being transmitted on a weekend the week will run from Monday to Sunday.

+ Remember that your team Captain gets their score doubled!!!

Once you’ve done all that you can also pick a name for your team. This will be listed in the Score Updates.

Your “Starting List” for November’s Corrie Challenge is as follows:-

Remember you need to select ELEVEN characters (including a captain) – no more, no less.

    Evening Cobblheads.

Great title. Now I've got the song in my head and I want to do the little dance they do in 'Jersey Boys' when they sing it.

    You;re not fooling anyone, Ryan.

Shame, cos that's pretty much the job description for 'actor'.

Poor Sophie :( she'll never play the Hammond Organ again

Why is Kirk's nose two different colours depending on which side you look at it?
