on saturday we have thunderbirds coming back to our screens, why though, when it hasnt been around for some 30 years, why spoil what we had with cgi, the kids will be watching it with no idea how it ever was, thnk one of the characters will have an indian accent, so it can be pc, which is daft.

it isnt just thunderbirds, they cgi fireman sam, postman pat, the clangers, the wombles, what next cgi of pigeon street, rainbow god knows.

cant they think of anything original/

what arethe next generation going to get a cgi version of smtv live

They are tried, tested and successful formats which producers know will bring in an audience.

Why does it matter if it isn't the Thunderbirds you remember? It isn't going to get rid of that Thunderbirds, the two can co-exist.

And why is it daft to have ethnic diversity within the show? The world has changed, it's expected that shows acknowledge Britain's enormous cultural diversity, you're just being stupid.

As a fan of the original series, I'm looking forward to the reboot, even if it is seemingly aimed at a much younger audience than the original.

I'd be highly surprised if a team of 'superheroes' with several giant vehicles, including a rocket, an aircraft carrier and a submarine, ever became boring to children.

Because it has been revamped, that's why.

Like the film industry TV has problems developing new ideas. If you genuinely have a good idea for a new programme together with the necessary research to prove it is viable you could become quite rich as a result. Don't send them half baked rubbish ideas though, they delete dozens of those daily.
