Can't choose between Matt - Nights In White Satin & Aiden - Mad World. Both blew me away.

First Time Ever I Saw Your Face /Just The Way You Are/ Nights In White Satin

Matt's just unreal tbh. Never felt so moved by someone's singing on these types of shows before. Shame he wasn't quite well enough to fire on all cylinders at the end but nice to know he won inspite of the show's obvious disregard of him and knowing that people stayed true to the talent they saw weeks before.

But special mention to Rebecca's Feeling Good and Make You Feel My Love. She never took a song over and beyond what it was but her unique vocal stylings always gave it a different feel.

This is a controversial one but I thought that Aiden's Thriller was genius... The first X-Factor performance that I thought "I actually like this as music"... I even downloaded it... It was a travesty that he was voted off when he was... I guess he just doesn't have mass appeal.

I totally agree. Aiden was the only contestant I could not wait to see perform! I was intrigued by matt and rebecca always but aiden I thought was truly amazing and I don't think he was given enough praise from the likes of simon and cheryl. I loved thriller to. Even more controversial I loved his version of jealous guy

It's not that controversial... He got his best placing in the results with Jealous Guy... He was fourth...

Yeah Aidens performance of Jealous Guy was great.

I am sure John Lennon would have loved it.:)

Stay by Cher, made me like that song, use to not like it much.
Katie's Save Me From Myself, I was so surprised to hear her singing it, it's a fantastic song, I've loved for some time now.

Also, Teardrops by Rebecca, I'd never heard the song before but I love it now.

Might be an idea to release album of fav songs from the series for charity next year.

That way more money could be raised and we could all enjoy our favourites.

Just a thought if you are listening MR COWELL.:)

Now that would be a Christmas Gift to Charity

What do you mean OP? Are you asking "what are your favorite performances?" or "what are your favorite songs that were performed in this series?"

My fav performances are Aiden's Thriller and Mad World, followed by Paije's Let it Be but my favorite songs that are performed are Nights in White Satin, Purple Rain and Whole Lotta Love.

You got a point there sorry for confusion, your fav song I guess and how well it was performed so a bit of both really.
    Hope that helps.

There has been some great performances this year:)

In that case, my favorite originals are (in this order):
1: One - easily one of the best songs ever written.
2: Make You Feel My Love
    3: Purple Rain
    4: Only Girl
    5: Stay
