Aqua must have the record for most appearances by now!

There can't be many Aqua songs left now which are eligible. :D

In all seriousness, it can't be easy to find something easy for Algeria. I had hated having Morocco. :o

Surely England will win soon? How come they haven't already won?

They would have won if they sent Kyla that contest. Its a hard country because people expect so much.

An Italian win is always a possibility, but I think having one or two microstates attached to it doesn't help.

England will win one day. The UK managed it, as have Wales and Ireland, all of which share a very similar music scene, so there's a winner out there somewhere for England!

I was only lurking at the time, but I was so pleased when Kyla won that contest, she's pretty much my favourite artist around. Walk through walls isn't even her best song IMO, so she might have another win in her.
Edit: If England win, bring it to Bristol! :p

About the Ireland thing, i actually found it quite hard finding a decent one when I had Ireland the second time. Please don't give me Ireland again!

How does it take SO long to find a swedish song?
OR a scottish song for that matter of fact!

I find the better countries harder in a way because there's so much expectation riding on them - you feel as though you have to look further as the right song should be out there somewhere as long as you look hard enough.

There's a song I adore for Italy, but if previous songs didn't win that won't win either. I suspect after so many great songs over the contests, when they do win it will be with a song I don't like... :D

Any country can win though, it's just a case of the right artist appearing with the right song. No-one would have thought Armenia or Lebanon would ever win, or maybe even that Russia would win again.

It takes me long whether it's a good country or a bad country.
It takes a long time to find a good song for my bad country and a long time just searching through all the singers of the good country.

As a first timer, my experience was somewhere in the middle between AxG's description.

Country #1 was quite easy, perhaps because I knew it had a taste for the kind of music I'm into

Country #2 was almost impossible, because the search patterns I had used for #1 didn't work (iTunes charts were full of songs which couldn't be allowed, etc.).

I know - not just "don't think", I *know* - that neither song was chosen to win.

Yes, that's pretty fair. I probably spent longer on my 'good' country than my 'bad' country this time but that's because I was losing the will to live with the latter. :D

I send songs that I feel are finalists rather than potential winners.

Sometimes I send potential winners, but none have won to date. :p So many 2nd, 3rd and 4ths!

Just be happy you even managed the top 5! I'm thinking I might have a chance this contest.

I'm grateful for every high placing but that doesn't mean I can't want my win sometime :p

It has been like 30 contests lol

I think Dylan & I have the most contests per 0 wins? Maybe Stan?

Indica sounds something like Finland would actually send to Eurovision.

I really like it, just wish the vocals were a bit stronger in the chorus.
