I was watching him in Not Goin out last night and he reminded me of Alfie a bit

    No the part was created just for Shane as he auditioned for the role of Tom (yes who! :eek: you ask) but wasn't right for the part but they really liked him so made Alfie Moon.

    Yeh, he could have, any one could have though i guess :p but cause we've had Shane for so long, i can't imagine any one else playing him. :)

    I was about to post that Tom was the fire-fighter who died when Trevor set the club alight when I saw Charcole911's post.
    On topic, no I don't love Alfie as a character but I think Shane Ritchie has a certian charisma that defines Alfie.

    Alfie can only have been created for Shane Richie, as Shane seems to be playing himself! :p

    Is it just me, but the more successful Shane is I think the more it must gall Colleen and I secretly smile!

    Personally no, Lees too much of a northener (though he does he gr8 sketch on 'cockneyitis'. I like Lee too much as a comic to be made into such a bland character. Lee doesnt really 'do' cute like Shane does...

    Alfie Moon could be played by anybody - he's one of those characters that anyone could do.

    you know, just stick a shirt, leather jacket on, stand behind a bar, and say 'alright darlin'

    he's not a difficult character to grasp, I think any actor could play him.
