I was just looking through the photos on a few newspaper sites, and no Kym/ Michelle Connor clogging up the pics. I bet she was scared to go after stealing that girls ex...or of bumping into her ex Jamie with his new gf. Still it's refreshing to see she's not there.

    Not surprising if true, Jamie Lomas has a lot of friends within the three main soaps and Steph Waring is also there, would be super awkward.

    Dont know why they keep renewing her contract on Corrie when she is an am dram actress whose skills dont go much further than shouting and folding her arms. Character of Michelle Connor was exhausted years ago as well.

    With all the drama and connections to so many soaps, it's probably best she didn't go. Sensible decision - she avoided heaps of animosity.

    Apparently, with all her falling out and petty feuds, it was far too risky to have her at the BSAs. :D:D:D

    Hope the Corrie bods have taken note of what a liability she to the prog.

    It genuinely wouldn't surprise me if Kym Marsh was axed from Corrie at some point. Not only has Michelle completely outrun her course but the actress isn't helping the show either.

    Am dreading the fallout of the Tine/Peter/Carla thing - it's inevitable it'll come out that Steve knew and I can't bear the resultant shouting, hair flicking, eye rolling, arm folding and stropping off that passes for acting with this woman!

    Feuding Kym Marsh has spared TV bosses a headache by giving soap’s big night out a miss. The Corrie star, 37, will attend a family engagement instead of the British Soap Awards on Saturday, ending fears of potential bust-ups. Kym had a bitter break-up with EastEnders actor husband Jamie Lomas, 39, and feuded with Stephanie Waring, 35, whose ex Kym is now dating. A TV source in Manchester, where Corrie is filmed, said: “To be honest it’s a big relief. Everyone has been on about the big awards night and whether it would kick off or not. “There was talk of security being told to keep a close watch on people to make sure nothing happens.”

    The awards will be shown on ITV on Sunday.

    Kym Marsh gets more bad publicity for herself and Corrie. ;-)
