We don't look too bad, in midfield and up front.

That defence doesn't exactly inspire confidence, mind....

    Anything could happen!

About as good a team selection as possible, some good options on the bench also. Obviously it's far from ideal though.

    Substitutes
    08 Mata 11 Januzaj 13 Lindegaard 18 Young 21 Herrera 24 Fletcher 49 Wilson

Welbeck plays for Arsenal. McNair and Blackett both in! :o

With Valencia in there, looks to me like he's playing 5 across the back?
Hoping that Mata can come on and weave a little magic, I'd call that a pretty pedestrian midfield and attack there

It is to be fair, don't like the 3 at the back though, i can't see us being strong enough to keep Arsenal out as Smalling as the senior defender fills me with dread, hopefully the likes of Di Maria, Rooney and Van Persie will have enough to get us something out of the game.

Thought Herrera might get a game today given the amount of injuries.

I'd be extremely happy with a point today.

Good grief this is awful. We are hopeless and surprise surprise another injury, Shaw hobbles off!!

The game plan, such as it is, seems to be to worry about Arsenal rather than try to play any game of our own.
And it's already not working, they should be 2 up at least.

Dreadful, dreadful free kick from Rooney there.

We are putting them under a decent bit of pressure right now. Looks promising

Playing better, need to keep the pressure on them.

To be fair it must be hard to get into any kind of form when the team changes line up pretty radically each game. How can you know what your teammate is going to do from one match to the next?
RVP once again is a passenger. I'd rather see Mata on the pitch.

Minor improvement towards the end of the half, but Arsenal really should be ahead. Before the game I'd have been happy with a point, after that half I'd be delighted.

Perhaps at HT LVG could suggest that the players try to pass the ball to the men in BLUE shirts. Lucky not to be trailing by a cricket score.

I'm still bemused as to why the ref didn't send of Wiltshire. . I mean it was in front of him and straight after he kicked off at the ref

Referees seem much easier to intimidate recently, don't know what happened with the respect campaign.

The respect campaign just seemed to have gone without it even starting
