If you look at the voting stats on the site you'll see Olly never had a chance and was just hanging on most weeks.

No. I don't think Olly ever stood a chance, really.

Simon and Co did a great job making Olly seem credible competition for Joe when you look at the voting. They played it well. Joe was a cert in the last few weeks.

No. Newspapers on Saturday reckoned Joe would win.

I think it's a bit of a fluke that he ever made it to the final tbh.

No, if anything, Robbie ensured Olly got the sympathy vote yesterday to beat Stacey to the final.

Thats a fair comment, but the Williams mistake couldn't have helped compared to George Michaels polished performance....

I'd agree with that. The performance with Robbie wasn't great. But I think Robbie's glowing endorsement of Olly won him alot of votes.

Robbie was more a positive than a negative for Olly.

As people of said it could and probably did, I think he got a sympathy vote boost because of that mistake because no way was he better than Stacey on the night.

Robbie didn't have anything to do with tonight's show though.

And Olly's first performance last night was enough to get him through to the final. Robbie was poor, but I don't think that affected the voting. Otherwise Stacey would have got through.

You're grasping at straws aren't you?

Robbie just being there will have helped him. Sadly Olly was never going to win regardless...

...wont stop him being more successful in the long run...

Olly beat Stacey in the voting in the semi-final it turns out so he was already ahead of her (surprisingly to most)

Why is it everybody else's fault that Olly didn't win? Another thread was asking was it Simon's fault.

If anything, it was Joe's fault that Olly didn't win because Joe was the better performer.:D

No not at all. It wasn't Robbie's fault in the least. They sang great together.

I think the "sang great together" is a little inaccurate.

I doubt that even Robbie would have beat Joe tonight.

Nobody's fault. Joe was just miles better.
