Gaining space on my hard drive (Desktop PC)

I have Windows 7 on my desktop PC and the other day checked my hard-drive status to see how much has been used. It was just shy of 55gb (of 882gb). I checked this afternoon to find I gained space (now 48.7gb used). I checked my Windows updates and it downloaded an "Update Agent". Did this have something to do with it?

    I don't think Update Agent had anything to do with it.

    Without knowing more about what software you use, it's impossible to day. I know iPlayer deletes cached videos periodically, so it could be something like that.
