point: ALBANIA - Rona Nishliu - Suus (Never has a song jumped so high up my rankings so suddenly. But with the reworking of the song, suddenly I really do love it. It no longer sounds like random caterwauling, it now sounds like such an amazing outburst of emotion.)
points: SLOVENIA - Eva Boto - Verjamem (It's going to be between this and Serbia when we get to the bottom of the Eastern ballad stakes. For me, I just prefer Eva's song. I prefer Molitva-lite to Paradise-esque.)
points: THE NETHERLANDS - Joan Franka - You & Me (It will be a wonderful, wonderful day for me if Joan somehow makes it out of the semi finals, but I really doubt it now. But it's just such a lovely song. And say what you will, I love the native american getup.)
points: SPAIN - Pastora Soler - Quedate conmigo (I really don't understand people who say the end of the song is just screeching after the money note. It's without doubt the best effort Spain have put forward in years and will deservedly finish will on the night.)
points: DENMARK - Soluna Samay - Should've Known Better (It feels weird only giving this 5 points, because it's a song I really do love. I guess it shows the general strength of this year though. I do think this is a contender to grab a top 3 spot, since it'll get a lot of votes around this area.)
points: NORWAY - Tooji - Stay (Tooji is going to stand out so, so much because he'll probably be the only guy in the final singing an up-tempo song. Better vocals than Eric Saade and will probably get a similar vote from the public, he could be a real threat still.)
points: ITALY - Nina Zilli - L'Amore e femmina (Out of Love) (Never really liked Per Sempre, thought it was pretty average. Liked the song in its original Italian form. Love it in the bi-lingual form now. Shame she's been hit by a bad draw.)
points: FRANCE - Anggun - Echo (You and I) (I Anggun. I can't deny it. Will she be able to nail the vocal? I have no idea. But without doubt, she will give a great performance on the night. I've loved the song every time it's been performed at an NF - which let's face it has been quite often - even with the playback. I hope she does well, but I have doubts.)
points: ICELAND - Jonsi & Greta Salome - Never Forget (I liked Mundu eftir mer, but it started to get a bit stale for me. Then I heard Never Forget for the first time in English and fell in love with it all over again. That immediate impact could do them wonders.)
points: SWEDEN - Loreen - Euphoria (I love this song. Oh, I love this song. I got my friends to love this song. It's going to win, most likely, and it'll be great when it does. It's my ringtone. First song I played on my new iPhone. That says it all, I guess.)
I've deliberated over this far too much considering we can make as many updates as we want!

It may be a longshot but I think Joan has a chance of qualifying. And I think that would lead to an even bigger outpouring of emotion than Switzerland last year.
