Although there isn't normally a great deal of storyline progression, Smackdown is often a better show to watch than Raw. The 2 hour format and earlier timeslot help a lot.

I just wonder what the rules of the stairs match are. Its a good thing its not called a steps match cause the rules would involve both Big Show and Erick Rowan carrying a steel ring stair over their head whilst dancing to the Steps classic 5 6 7 8:D.

Yeah but I didnt watch WWE back then I started watching WWE again when Sunday Night Heat was first shown on Channel 4 back in January 2000:).

Honestly I cant take Kane seriously these days since concessions Kane:D.
I remember they recorded UK specific commentary for Heat in it's early months.
Shane McMahon was my favourite commentator on Heat.
If so then good luck to her I would love to see her and Renee Young on commentary they could do a better job on Raw than Lawler, Cole, and JBL:D.

I liked Shane as commentator. He called an episode of Raw with Jim Cornette in 1998 as well.
It's a shame we never got Heat in the UK during it's prime.
