Nah, it was when they stopped enforcing the rule about the mandatory wearing of dinner jackets.

Surely top hats and morning suits?

That (surely) would be a backward step. No need to have different terms for male and female posters (or would you prefer postettes?)

I don't start my new job until April 16 when I shall be a presenter on LBC 97.3. Here is a sample of my style:

BMScott: Give me your names and I will put them in my reiki box.
    Caller: Pradeeeeeeeeeeeeep! Globuuuuuuuule!
BMScott: Well thanks for that and now over to my next caller.
Chris (From Crouch End): Did you know that it says in the Bible that you should not work on a Sunday?
BMScott: Well that's my new job, buggered then as I was scheduled to appear on Sunday's as well!
Caller: I am a first time caller!
BM Scott: So bloody what, I am getting fed up with this lark, goodbye!!

Does no-one like my presentation style? :(

I always enjoy Chris from Crouch End's calls, particularly with Nick Abbot and she is one of my favourite callers. She phones up talkSPORT as well and she is known as 'Christine' and she is guaranteed to call James Max on Saturday evening. It might be worth knowing that at least three well known callers post here (my favourites as well) :
the original 'globule' man (John from Croydon) is johnloony, Jessica (with the lovely voice) from Sheffield/Docklands is grimupnorth and the famous Mucky Sarah recently joined us. To me, the callers are a very important part of LBC.

Well Chris has something, but I am not sure what exactly. I think she is the female equivalent of a trainspotter and probably writes letters in green ink!

And then there are those who call and post on here, but have chosen not to 'come out'. ;)

There there calm down, calm down (say in a Liverpudlian accent). I assume you believe I am entitled to my opinion? It is, unlikely to be aired on LBC 97.3, however given the juvenile content of most programmes, so I only have one thing to say to you 'Pradeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep'.
You are probably one of the pimply schoolboys that ring in with this rubbish :p

Of course you are entitled to your opinion. I wasn't attacking it. Sparking a bit of debate, you know. :)

    I don't call in :D

Iain said last night that he was going to get Agent Chris to put up some of his really old shows from early 2005 on LBC Plus when he said he was 'talking about the news' - did he ever do that on weekend evenings?

I'm sufficiently secure with my female status to subscribe to the, some would say, old-fashioned practise of feminising words: actress, heroine etc. Co-incidentally there's a letter on the same subject in today's Telegraph. (where else! )

    Sorry, drifting OT.

It's an interesting topic (one that I'm quite passionate about) but yep, nothing to do with LBC - unless we start describing Anna Raeburn as a presenterette or presentress.

It would be quite funny if she said, "I'm Anna Raeburn, Presentress on LBC 97.3...Here to talk about anything sexual". I like the Rocky Horror slant. Okay...So I have a weird imagination. :o:D

    LMAO... :D

But quite like the word 'Vampy' when put in context with Anna Raeburn. In all seriousness, AR has a wonderful voice for the radio and when she does topics over and above 'Sad and Painful' she really is a good listen. I have enjoyed quite a few of her shows at those times. ;)

OMG - he's going to go into overdrive! I predict there'll be a question mark over who the father is, and he'll comment on how sorry he feels for any child that's born with her as a mother.

Thanks to the Google and Yahoo search cache, I have been able to salvage 254 pages from the old thread. Here are the page numbers I have retrieved (25 posts per page mode):

As you can see, most of the later pages are there which means that most of the posts in the last three months are still available. Some of the latter pages are not complete due to the page being cached when the page was the last page in the thread.

I have also downloaded 59 pages in the 40 posts per page mode, while mostly covering similar periods to above, may patch some holes:

    8, 9, 270, 271, 272, 273, 274, 317, 335, 509, 510, 511, 518, 524, 525, 526, 527, 528, 531, 532, 533, 534, 535, 542, 543, 544, 545, 546, 547, 548, 549, 550, 551, 552, 553, 554, 555, 556, 557, 558, 559, 561, 565, 570, 576, 579, 580, 583, 584, 585, 586, 587, 588, 591, 593, 598, 599, 601, 602

I would be grateful if anyone can find some of the missing pages not in the above list, or can advise on methodology to obtain these pages.

After further checks, it appears I don't have pages 979, 980, 982, 983, 993 or 994 as they were duplicates of other pages.

It looks as though our 'rival' site LBC Community Forum has disappeared. I don't often visit so don't know how long it's been down. They managed to get us a yellow card from the DS mods a few months ago, didn't they?
