Samsung TV iPlayer app

Recently purchased Samsung 6500 TV with problem of iPlayer play icon not appearing except when iPlayer is first loaded. Navigating away from initial screen looses play icon. Turning telly off and on restores icon but only for the initial start up page. Samsung say it is down to BBC to fix the App see attached e mail. Retailer ( John Lewis) believe it is a regional problem. Anyone else suffering? Any help appreciated.

    Samsung are correct. The iPlayer app is developed and supported by the BBC and not Samsung.

    This is happening on the Sony Blu-Ray player. A few people in AV Forums have mentioned it.
