Quite aware that the story is covered by the worst comic book in circulation, but it's still kinda'a interesting.

Sounds like a joke and he was in denial before the accident. Ha ha ha.

Bang on the head, knocks sense in to gay man, who finally realises / admits his true sexual orientation.

It's certainly been very good for him.

The first comment says it all

"Repressed gay man accepts his sexuality and comes out following life threatening injury; not really newsworthy is it?"

Think maybe he may have been gay before judging by the photos.

Rugby hunks can be gay too. Having to be a skinny hairdresser with a weird haircut isn't part of the membership rules! :D

The lengths some people will go to in order to get out of marrying someone. :D

I see he hasn't tried to sue the gym for damages though.

After the coalition had been in government for just a few months, two Tory MPs came out as gay despite having been married for about 30-40 years. For some people, they feel they are in a position where they can't come out, perhaps backed themselves in to a hole by having got married, had kids, thinking their sexuality might just change to heterosexual, or they had to take a wife to even be elected an MP (common a few decades ago), and then don't know how to extricate themselves.

Good job he's done it now before getting to 40-50 and regretting throwing his best years away on a lie.

No one yet understands the human brain enough to know whether he has always been gay, or the stroke genuinely changed his sexuality.

That's some transformation from the pisshead rugby player to the ' Ooh I could crush a grape' pose with the hairdryer :D

Good luck to him though if he's happy in his new lifestyle

I wonder what will happen if he get's another bang on the head though?

Quite. Headline should read 'canny gay gets cash payout from Daily Mail'. Serves them bloody right.

It may not be as simple as that. The change is quite remarkable. He didn't have to give up rugby to be gay. It's quite extraordinary.

Indeed. He can enjoy the untold pleasures of the male flesh!

Serves him right, you should never have a stroke while thinking of men in case the wind changes.

I see I'm not the first to think this...

Seems more likely that his near-death experience made him realise that life's too short to spend it hiding your sexuality in order to fit in with your peer group.

The story is already a couple of months old at least, not sure why the Mail published it now. It's funny what the brain is capable of.

'Good luck to him in his new lifestyle' means just that that. From burly straight rugby player to slim gay hairdresser, will indeed lead to a whole new lifestyle for him

Unless you know otherwise of course

I'm no scientist but I think most people agree you are born gay.
