There are rarely any good sequels, some are sequels we didn't even need! There are some of the worst sequels ever, But there are some really good sequels that are better than the first film.
The list here is just MY OPINION on what sequels were better than the first film:
Aliens
Toy Story 2 & 3
Terminator 2: Judgement Day
Shrek 2
The Dark Knight
Ice Age 2: The Meltdown
Back To The Future 2
American Pie 2
Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
But anyway, enough about my opinions, I was wondering what other people like you guys think of what sequels are better than the first film!

Might rock the boat with these last two, but
Hellboy II: The Golden Army

Lethal Weapon 2?
Godfather part 2 is the only one that is on a par with it predecessor. But I still prefer part 1. But these are films of true quality.
I agree with you on X-Men 2, Jackass 2, MI3 & Hellboy II!
x2 is better than the first.
(don't hate me) but i preferred Transformers 2 to the first one.

I thought Iron Man 2 was one of the worst sequels ever, totally boring and free of any character.

Can I just clear something up?
"Titanic 2" is NOT a sequel to James Cameron's 1997 film "Titanic" starring Leonardo DiCaprio & Kate Winslet!
The film company that made Titanic 2 are called "The Asylum" and they deliberately called it Titanic 2 to make it look like a sequel but it's not!
If you're wondering why it's called "Titanic 2" read the synopsis

In the film, they build a ship which is a replica to the Titanic and name the ship "The Titanic Mark II"
