Plasterer Jim O'Cock detailed how the hot air balloon had crash landed with a 'resounding bump' after it apparently ran out of fuel over Maidstone. The 42-year-old recalled how he and several others had run to the aid of McPartlin and Donnelly as they observed the balloon fall "out of the sky".
He said: "They were absolutely lovely people, so down to earth."
