...........for anyone who may be intending to visit Wigan for any reason.
Avoid, if at all possible, leaving the M6 at junction 25 (you can only leave northbound anyway) and travelling North on the A49.
A roundabout, known locally as Marus Bridge roundabout, is currently being changed to a light controlled junction and it is an absolute nightmare!
There have already been two accidents and I'm surprised there haven't been more.
