Nick Kamen getting his Levis off in the laundrette. Not sure why they used a 60s song for an ad set in the 50s, though.
I Heard It Through The Grapevine was re-entering the charts in original form for Marvin Gaye this week in 1986 again following that advert, and made top ten again.
Anyone care to admit stripping to their boxers in a laundrette? Or even going further, as the 2 guys in the Carling Black Label one did!
I'm sure there'll have been a lot of blokes copying Nik Kamen in Levis ad when it cames out.! I only went into our local laundrette as a kid to rent videos, as they also did that.

1987 must have been the last year people did O Levels. When did GCSE's come in? Was it 1988?
Back then I was working for the DHSS! It was an eye opener of a job...
I took O levels in 1986, my brother took GCSE's in 1988. The O's are worth far more than the GCSE's by a mile.
I was also taking driving lessons over Easter 1987. Checkout the "adults who have never driven" thread in the general forum for more info on that, which I posted in the week!
I really loved the Whitesnake track from this chart, not my normal kind of music but that one was great. Quite surprised the Bon Jovi single wasn't a bigger hit either.
The Slightest Touch was probably one of Five Star's best singles but they sound rather pathetic looking back.

Classix Nouveau last week from 1982, Club Nouveau this week from 1987.
I know which I prefer.
