As soon as a champions league position became impossible he should have gone.

Absolutely no excuses to go from league champions to finishing outside the top 4.

You have to wonder if that is what they were waiting for.

I'm assuming Utd fans wouldn't mind if Nani, Cleverley, Anderson, Valencia, Fellaini and Young all packed their bags too. Talk about deadwood.

    Should be given more time.

    Several years at least.

I so hope this is true, it's never nice to see anyone lose there job but it is obvious he is out of his depth, with some quality signings and a quality manager next season could look a lot brighter, here's hoping.

To paraphrase Ivan Drago "If he goes, he goes". I think next season would have been much, much better but it is a big war chest to give to a man who hasn't proved himself. Reluctantly, I agree with my fellow reds that this would be the best time to get rid. I just hope they get the appointment right this time. And whoever comes in clears out the dead wood.

Giggs as caretaker should be fun, if it happens. Just pray they aren't thinking of making him permanent boss....

.... I guess it can only be Klopp. Van Gaal is busy until July and my personal choice, Ancelotti will probably get another season at Real.... what do you guys think?

    I'm hearing this via FB

Sad if true as he's a really nice fella and sure with some investment and time things would be different!

Ancelotti is a great shout, but as you suggest the timing probably doesn't work.

Amongst the standard craziness at Chelsea ( not always unsuccessful craziness admittedly ), the undermining and subsequent parting of the ways with Ancelotti really stood out to me.

A man certainly up to the job.
