Not heard Lilac Wine before. Was expecting Lilac Whine, but it was a great track.

Stayin' Alive, this show is awesome! Thank God Kid presented it!

Magazine - one of the few post-punk bands I don't have much time for. Never heard much of their stuff though, to be fair.

Elkie Brookes. The only one I remember of hers is Pearls a singer.

Great song that one. What about 'The Sunshine after the Rain?' There was a 90s dance/pop hits that borrowed the chorus, which goes 'I want to see the sunshine after the rain. I want to see bluebirds flying over the mountains again...'

She also did a good cover of 'Fool (if you think it's Over),' the Chris Rea song, which was originally released on his 'Whatever Happened to Benny Santini' album (also from this fine year of 1978 I believe).

She's recorded many more fine tracks too.

Anyone know...wasn't Man with the child in his eyes a flop when first released. They released it a couple of weeks later then it was a hit. Maybe my imagination...

Blondie weren't on this edition of TOTP - it's the one that would have been on next week when they make their TOTP debut. But as it's a DLT hosted edition it won't be shown.

Good love and a good "out" from Rod.

I think you'd have to dig pretty deep to find a better edition in all the years of TotP.

Rather lucky the evil Saville wasn't booked to do it.
