Is he?
Language is just means that carries itself through time, unfortunately. I am sure if you look up some feminist critique you will also find some interesting material?
Well he's celebrated for sleeping with a lot of women, isn't he? 'Winning' that's what you see on all of his Youtube videos while everyone is attacking Kim because she made a porno ten years ago. But let's not focus on just these two.
There are no female equivalents to these.
That is because gay men are seen as lacking 'masculinity' and are therefore feminized.
That is an interesting point. Maybe that is because older men are not seen by society as being 'in their prime' and are therefore not expected to have feelings of passion and love. Although that does not condone older men going for under age women.
Yep and there are many means to control of fertility ( and its outcome) have been used, including physical, psychological and social means. Language is part of this.
Or i could be talking nonsense again:p
People call Charlie Sheen a stud?!
Who the heck are you talking to?!
All the words I heard him called had four letters, but they certainly weren't 'stud'. He just pays a load of porn stars to hang around him. He's a total loser.
Maybe you are only hearing what you want to hear?
Btw, I loved how you picked Kim Kardashian as an example Can't we just admit they're both a pair of *****?
It is all about reproduction, and producing the healthiest offspring.
If that's the case (I don' think it is, some women look more attractive in their later years), every woman over 40 is ruled out the game as they can't produce offspring (exceptions excluded).
Men however can help produce offspring pretty much all their life.
Hence, the stereotype of older men is that they are past it when it comes to fulfilling a relationship with younger women.
It's a pervasive attitude expressed in language that affects all women. The main reason for the attitude may be, at its root, about controlling reproduction, but it spills over.
'Old bag' is a sexual insult if you think about it - lots of kids have come out of that bag, now its shapeless, worn out, undesirable.
I've never thought of that expression in that way , I'm not sure that's the actual root of the meaning.
Anyway, either way, it's all very ageist.
Not as much as it's sexist!
For men though, wa nker will do. Plenty of them around and not only in a sexual sense.
And they are seen as all the derogatory words, because they are just 'Having sex' not for reproductive reasons. (A bit of 'old enough to know better')
What's funnier is that men know that and came up with the names but still some think that they shouldn't have to wear condoms while in their shagging about times when they ask they girl if she is on the pill. Wear a condom always dumbos
No i don' t agree with those terms for a young man ****. I would call them some paedo or midlife crisis letch on a lot younger women.. Or weirdo men.
