Trina Gulliver is the latest darts player to be rewarded in the Queen's Honours list

I am racking my brain to think how many darts players do have awards. I can only think of Eric and Trina now. Must be more surely

Think their the only 2 by the looks of it...Olly Croft has one but obviously not a player.

Definitely the strongest teams in it

I am plumping for an England/Netherlands double.

Yeah. Both Ladies won their semis 5-0.
England men won comfortably but Dutch only won 13-10 from 9-10 down.

Enjoyed the event and good coverage this time. Great to hear John Gwynne on commentary again!

Of course Phil Taylor was due to receive the MBE but never got round to being awarded it for some reason or other.

Seemed a better atmosphere on that video than the atmosphere and presentation at the tournament the other day

The BDO on Eurosport recently seems better than the coverage the BBC had in the new year. They seem to have mixed the audience noise up a bit.
The location was no where near as good of course but it was lively. They need some life in a darts crowd not the silence of a snooker crowd. You can leave the "louts" to the PDC (which is good, I like the noise & the louts but its their thing, don't copy it for the sake of it).

Darts is played in pubs, so a bit of noise should be ok for the players! It needs a lively image.

He did receive a MBE but it was annulled after he was found guilty of indecent assault on two 23 year old women.

Cameron Menzies is the funniest darts player I have ever seen. Watching him play in the 6 nations it was like every dart he missed was life or death. I'm sure one of his team mates gave him a talking to as his attitude on the oche was terrible. I don't think we will be seeing him again anytime soon.

Yeah, and not for his on-stage antics either...

On a totally unrelated matter, I have been looking at flights to Columbia.

Good for BDO and Eurosport. What about BBC though?
Are the BDO now thinking of getting more Eurosport coverage overall?

I wouldn't have thought so. Eurosport showed quite a bit of BDO darts last year. The BBC only showed the Worlds.
