I seem to be the only one who would like Anton as his replacement, don't know if Anton would want to retire competitively though :(

I don't think he would, he was very good at the musical shows with ALW, and I never thought of his presenting as particularly camp, although he can joke where it needs to be. Certainly would be less likely to camp it up than Barrowman, I would definitely stop watching if he took over!

Yeah that guy is just too over the top ... bearable as Captain Jack but in any thing else he makes me want to throw my slippers at the tellybox

Maybe Michael McIntyre could replace him

I have a massive soft spot for Michael McIntyre but there is no reason why the Beeb would want him though.

And please god don't let it be Vernon Kay, Graham Norton or John Barrowman! :o

He should've announced it at the end of the last series then he could have had a big send off!

Well considering he now has a chat show on BBC that isn't doing too well they might want to do something else with him plus he has the kind of personality that could pull of Bruce style jokes :)

I'll be sorry to see him go and I know Terry will be too. Good luck to Sir Bruce and I'll be interested to know his replacement!

There is only one person that would be a great choice :

Sad to see Brucie go, but it's at the right time for him I think.

The suggestions of Alexander Armstrong and Michael McIntyre are good shouts I think. Both could competently handle the live show and still provide some entertaining jokes. If not, Claudia Winkleman is more than capable of joining Tess. I wouldn't even mind Tess leaving and Claudia taking her role to have a complete shake up.

I hope he has a long happy retirement, but honestly, I won't miss him.

I don't want to say anything 'wrong', but having Graham would be an imbalance of campness (for me at least), with him, Bruno and Craig...

Exactly. It needs someone at the other end of the glam-camp spectrum.

    I was thinking David May?

The only person who could possibly replace Brucie is the dream team of SIR Terry Wogan!
with Claudia. Get rid of the awful Tess at the same time

I think Graham Norton might get the gig, he's proved he can do these live entertainment shows and he does them well.

I would love Graham Norton to do it. I thought he was great presenting those Andrew Lloyd Webber reality shows.

Me too. Despite adverse comments, I love Claudia's eccentricity. Breath of fresh air as far as I am concerned.

Well, whoever replaces him needs to be someone with wit and who can think on their feet if something goes wrong. Tess might have managed in an emergency but she can only read an autocue and nothing else so I do hope she isn't promoted to the top job. Personally I would be happy for her to go altogether but I do like Claudia though.

I think he'd be wonderful but I think his heart condition rules him out of live TV these days. :(

So long Bruce. Good game, good game.

    From BBC Website

Sir Bruce will continue to present one-off specials of the show such as Strictly Christmas Special and the Strictly Children in Need Special.

Fair enough. Seems like a good compromise to keep him in 'the family'.

Now getting the heebie-jeebies about most of the suggestions for his replacement :D

I'd happily stick with Tess and Claud. Or Graham Norton :)

Armstrong, Conley or O Grady is perfect for me
