Home made dahl, with mushrooms, carrots and spinach.
We only had a quarter bag of red lentils, so I had to use mainly yellow split peas so it wasn't as nice as I wanted (I usually use 2/3 red lentils, 1/3rd peas). :(

Tonight, I'm on my own so I might just have Heinz tomato soup.

Meant to be out tonight as I am meeting some friends for dinner (we won't see each other until the New Year!) but I am still feeling poorly :o

Haven't even been able to taste food since Monday

We're only going to Pizza Express but as I've had to leave work early every day this week I'll see how I feel.

If not then it's soup for me tonight :o

Was that before or after the CL Draw?!

Seriously, hope you feel better and are able to go out.

We're having paneer in an onion, garlic chilli and coconut sauce, with peas added and potatoes marinated in yoghurt and indian spices and roasted in the oven.

My whole office has been down with flu/ cold this week. Aching head to toe, running nose, incapability of getting out of bed from soreness and weakness, chesty cough follows, some have got infections from it. Its like flu but without the sickness and bits.

i THINK VEG/ PANEER MAKHANI for us

Got a few decent thick slices of gammon from the butchers today. Going to grill 'em and have 'em with Charlotte potatoes, sweetcorn and home-made parsley sauce.

Had a power cut last night just as I went to cook my dinner, so ended up cooking by torchlight which was fun (not literally, I had gas!)

Tonight, i'm not sure. We had a buffet at work this afternoon, so i'm not really hungry. Might have a little something later.

I sort of made it up. I fried onion in chilli and garlic, added the paneer, added a small tin of coconut milk and some tomato puree, stirred, added some peas and seasoned. It was very nice!

For the potatoes, I par-boiled them, tossed them in a sieve to make the outsides rougher, added some natural yoghurt that I'd mixed with garam masala and cumin and turmeric, mixed them in that and then roasted them in garlic and chilli oil in the oven, at a fairly high heat. They were lovely, the flavours quite subtle. I think I got the idea of coating potatoes in yoghurt from reading your recipes, actually. I've never done it before.

You sound really ill! You need pampering. Hope it's better, today.

You'll probably beat them, though. I don't think it's anywhere near as one-sided as people make it out to be and what if Messi is injured? AC Milan are top of Serie A, I think. I can't say I'm overly optimistic. They don't' have Benitez managing them, for one thing!

Tonight I will mainly be eating leftovers from the fridge, in unlikely combinations, to make room for a Waitrose delivery of Xmas goodies on Monday.
