Grabbers - a silly but fun Irish comedy-horror film. Does what it says on tin. A must-see if you enjoyed Tremors and Slither.

Horrible Bosses - meh. It didn't tickle my funny bone. :o

Next on the to-watch list is When the Lights Went Out (info at Amazon.co.uk), a British supernatural horror film. A haunted council house during the 1970s this time. :D

Over Her Dead Body 4/10. I thought that comedies were supposed to make you laugh. Still, I kept watching to see how it panned out.

When the Lights Went Out - surprisingly well made for a British ghost film, but it has frustratingly preventable flaws. Missed the opportunity to deepen the characterisation of the family, the pacing was off sometimes, the editing was dull and the ending was somewhat a let-down. There is a couple of key scenes that I think weren't meant to be funny. Or maybe they were meant to be? Not sure, to be honest. :o

The best thing about the film is Jonathan Harvey's cinematography, really. Oh, and the fact the family does resemble a typical English working-class family of the 1970s including leaving a 13-year-old alone at home while the parents nip off to a local social club for an evening.

Still can make an effective little Sunday evening film, though. Particularly for those who don't want to watch gory or constantly violent horror films or too-gentle ghost stories.

Hilarious, with great fight scenes. Sam Elliott is just the coolest guy!:D

    The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey (2012) - 9/10
Loved this so much! It got me really excited and impatient for the next one.

    Ong-Bak (2003) - 7/10
Truly awesome fights. Tony Jaa's amazing - some of those stunts! A must-see for anyone who likes martial arts, I think.

    The Tall Man (2012)

Somewhat implausible thriller saved by a couple of strong performances from Jessica Biel and Jodelle Ferland and a couple of thought-provoking twists that pull the rug out from under you.

One of the better 'limited release' offerings on Netflix.
