Selling A Vintage Fur Coat

Does anybody have any ideas where to sell a vintage canadian squirrel fur coat which is a dark brown colour. It is nearly 50 years old and I have the original receipt of purchase from 1964.

I have looked on e-bay but the coats there are not bringing a great deal.

Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Is there a big market for them? Most people I know would not wear one, even if it is vintage.

When my nan died we had a vintage mink coat that no one wanted. My BF who is a vegetarian loves real fur as long as it was made years ago ie the rule with Ivory goods. As the coat was from the '40 / 50s she has taken it and wears it. If I was as small as my nan I would've worn it. My BF went to several antique markets where they were selling fur coats, maybe Google something like that and see if a vintage clothing retailer would be interested.

    Film studios might buy it.

They do seem to go for a fair bit on eBay I thought. Have you tried vintage stores? They might be willing to buy it. :)
