Anyone secretarial temp via agencies?

I haven't temped for years and just started last week.

I hate agencies. Just hate them, but they are a necessary evil.

I submitted my timesheet in for the Monday 12 p.m. deadline.

So when do I get paid?

It depends when they put the paperwork through but it'll probably take 3 to 4 days from when it's done which is the bank's fault as they like to take ages to ages to do what could be instant transactions

    Thanks

    Bum!

I thought it was like normal work - when they say 'you get paid on the last day of the month' and it is in your bank account instantly.

i assumed the money would be there on Tuesday!

I had forgotten just how soul destroying temping was.

And the indignity of having to ask people to sign your timesheet!!! Particularly when everyone else slopes off all the time.

Meh I've been doing temp work recently, the last couple of days I've been doing payroll admin for Trafford Council and it's a very easy job with good pay so I really don't mind :)

Yeah, that is the one good thing about temping, the work isn't hard,

I think it is more that I don't like work, more than I don't like temp work.

Good thing about temp work - you can usually take any time off when you want it

Bad thing - you don't get paid
