Is it just me or is anyone else sick of the sight of Leyla's lying face in Emmerdale. I much prefer Alicia now and poor David, I just keep waiting for him to be hurt again by Leyla and it end up his fault again.

I can't be bothered to look back on the thread but I think I might have said recently that David is being really wasted since he got involved in this Leyla storyline. I hate the story, dislike Leyla and detest Alicia.
David had the makings of a good villain with a conscience - when he was with Nicola, he went along with her plans to get rid off Donald but his conscience got the better of him. He's been involved in Eric's schemes but changed his mind when he chose to run for council. Now all we see is him comforting Leyla and being upset - boring!:(
Leyla is a fantastic character. One of the most interesting, well developed female characters in the show.
You think so? Can't say I agree - have never warmed to her from her days sleeping in t'factory and her stories with David a potentially much more interesting character have diminished him.
Can't say I understand her motivation for giving up Jacob for adoption and then disappearing. Although even her disappearance puzzles since she was paying her mothers' hospital fees and yet when Alicia came it was implied she'd not been in touch since she gave up Jacob.
I don't really see the complexity - a lot of contradictions but that's about it.
I see that him from Father Ted makes his appearance tonight.
Anyone ever seen him in anything else?
All I can picture in my mind is him being a drunken Priest swearing all the time.
Can't really judge his acting skill from that.
Just wondered if he's any good?
Time will tell I guess.
I haven't warmed to Declan's wife and daughter yet.
I hope he's more endearing.

I'd agree with that - just don't like the way the character has developed.
I just find the character quite dislikeable, she is very selfish and resorts to lying a bit too easily . I do think the actress is good though
But the actress has been able to play everything they've chucked at her.
I think she's great.

So, now that David has decided he can't trust Leyla anymore and has dumped her, does this mean he is going to get together with Alicia now?
Or is Declan going to follow up on his flirting etc with her?
Or is she leaving now we've found out that Leyla had a secret?
