Animal / character idea needed

Hi. I'm trying to think of a character/animal that could represent the skill of reasoning. Ideally, I'm after a well known cartoon animal. So far, best I've got is Sparrow (Capt Jack Sparrow can talk his way out of situations). All ideas gratefully recieved!

    foxes are cunning

squirrels could do reasoning ? They work out how to get nuts out of those complicated assault course things, don't they...

Watching yogi bear takes me back far too many years! Was Yogi usually successful in his capers? Memory fails me (he has a cool catch phrase I can still remember though)

I'm not sure of a suitable candidate, but how about some cartoon alien with a big brain ? Like Mr.Spock, but contemporary. If I knew a bit more about the young folk I may have a suitable suggestion....

These are good ideas. I don't think I can use fox as I need it to be in a positive connotation, and cunning sounds a bit evil.

I've just thought of the ginger bread man. Not an animal I know, but the idea might inspire more.

    Meercat or mongoose - quick/alert/watchful
    Cheetah: quickwitted
    Falcon: Swift/Intelligent

Actually I really like Mongoose - probably because of Rikki Tikki Tavi :)
